Further welcoming remarks were heard from Dr. Elizabeth Falcon who said, “I have dedicated my career to corrections for over 30 years, to the principle that no matter how challenged the system inmate transformation can occur if care is restor ative and our systems are responsive.” Bridget Schlick, VP of Marketing of Aramark, was recognized and gave a overview of the com prehensive job training and employment services offered by her company. ACA President-Elect Denise Robinson brought out the featured speaker for the event: Ashley Judd. Robinson gave a brief overview of Ms. Judd’s accomplishments, her impressive filmography, her academic achievements including a master’s degree from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Gov ernment and her long track record as an activist for causes worldwide. Robinson said Ashley Judd had

been chosen as a guest for her “depth and breadth around mental health trauma recovery.” “I have so much empathy for what the work you do and the space where you work,” Judd replied.
