Building and Leading High-Performance Teams in Corrections Room 101 B TRACK: Organizational Management Overview: In today’s correctional environment, effective teams are the backbone of safety, communication and mission success. This interactive workshop explores the principles behind high-performance team-trust, accountability, purpose and psychological safety through the lens of correctional leadership. Participants will learn how to identify dysfunction, strengthen collaboration and lead with clarity under pressure. Using real-world examples, sports analogies and practical tools, this session equips leaders to transform groups into cohesive, mission-driven teams that thrive in challenging environments. This presentation will discuss current evidence-based interventions and exemplary practices for the emerging adult population involved in the criminal justice system and will focus on the types of outcome metrics to be used to measure efficacy. Learning Objectives: • Review the research literature on emerging adults (ages 18–25) and identify the unique needs of this population. • Identify evidence-based and developmentally appropriate interventions that address the cognitive, behavioral, socioeconomic and criminogenic needs of emerging adults in correctional settings. • Discuss appropriate outcome measures and metrics to assess the efficacy of programs designed for emerging adults.
