As correctional leaders, you know the value of your people and the results that are possible when they’re at their best. Turnover rates in Georgia have dropped in the last three years and continue to drop monthly because of the initiatives set forth by GDC. This workshop will focus on cultivating a culture of accountability and integrity. Participants will learn how Georgia is using the Results Pyramid and the Steps to Accountability to foster a new culture. Georgia is adjusting the way its employees think and act to reach the key results of 75% Employee Satisfaction, $15 Million reinvested and 10% reduction in incidents. GDC is instilling the following beliefs in its employees: Better Together, Change Agents and Take Ownership. Follow-up of Former Inmates and Accompaniment of their Return to their Community through a Postpenapp Technological Application Room W231 B/C Overview: Participants will learn the design of an activity plan and the strategy for follow-up for each former inmate from the prisons of Queretaro, through the development of a technological application postpenapp. Postpenapp helps in the fulfillment of the commitments of the persons deprived of liberty once released. In addition through our program Citizens Building Ties we accompany them back to their community resulting in reduced recidivism. Primary Presenter: Gustavo Lopez Acosta , Comisionado Estatal Del Sistema Penitenciario De Queretaro., Comision Estatal Del Sistema Penitenciario De Queretaro., Queretaro, Mexico Presenter 2: Ana Lucía Esquivel Guadarrama , Directora De Reinserción Social., Comision Estatal Del Sistema Penitenciario De Queretaro, Queretaro, Queretaro, Mexico National Facilitated Dialogue Training Program Room W232 B/C Overview: Over the years, the National Institute of Corrections has produced and provided post-conviction victim services resources to support the Victim Services Coordinators within the 50 state departments of correction. These coordinators are responsible for a wide range of services, many of which are mandated under state constitutions, statutes and/or administrative rules. Facilitated Dialogue is one of those services that bring together the victim/survivor (or surviving family member) of a violent crime and the person who committed the crime — allowing victims and survivors the opportunity to share how the crime has affected their lives and ask questions to which they have never been given
