Byron R. Johnson, Ph.D. , Baylor University; Waco, Texas

Distinguished Professor of the Social Sciences at Baylor University and is the founding director of the Baylor Institute for Studies of Religion (ISR). Johnson is a faculty affiliate of the Human Flourishing Program at Harvard University, and is co-executive director of the Center for Faith and the Common Good as well as Visiting Distinguished Professor in the School of Public Policy at Pepperdine University. He is a senior scientist at the Gallup Organization, and in 2016, co-founded the Religious Freedom Institute, based in Washington, DC.

Tony Lowden, Pastor, Jabez Ministries; Byron, Georgia

Pastor Tony Lowden, pastor to former President Jimmy Carter and Rosalynn Carter and chaplain for the Secret Service in Southwest Georgia, was appointed in 2019 by the White House as Executive Director of the Federal Interagency Council on Crime Prevention and Improving Reentry. With over 20 years of experience at the local, state, and national levels, he has led efforts to expand reintegration services that help justice-involved individuals prepare for life after incarceration and successfully reenter their communities as productive members of society.
