Welcome to ACA’s 155 th Congress of Correction

WELCOME

I am so honored to welcome you to Denver, Colorado for ACA’s 155 th Congress of Correction. I am pleased to be in Denver where among the soaring peaks of the Rockies we find a host venue ready to deliver an outstanding opportunity to come together to teach, communicate and map out the future of our profession. This year’s Congress features a wide array of workshops and sessions focused on cutting-edge topics such as Artificial Intelligence in Corrections, Health Care Innovations, Reentry Programs, and Organizational Culture. Attendees will also benefit from facility tours, a vibrant exhibit hall and networking opportunities with professionals from across the country. We have also organized a host of educational workshops featuring

the best in the business, passing on critical knowledge and engaging in important discussions. I am also very excited to meet and hear from Kenyon Salo a powerful motivational speaker who will give actionable steps that will help you, both personally and professionally, achieve your goals. The Colorado Convention Center will also host our famous exhibit hall filled with the most important exhibitors with all the latest technology and services correctional professionals need. The Exhibit Hall will be a hub of activity, and you will find old and new friends passing through giving you the opportunity to network and exchange ideas with a cross section of the correctional profession. At this time, I must acknowledge the hard work and visionary leadership of our host committee. Their steadfast efforts and timely advice have made the planning process run smoothly and helped us build what I consider to be a first-class experience. Most of all, I am looking forward to seeing many of you and having the chance to renew old friendships and build new ones. I am always energized and inspired after meeting and talking with ACA members because they represent the passion and professionalism that makes corrections such an important field. The American Correctional Association’s Executive Committee for 2023-2025 is a superb collection of talented women and men from the field of corrections. The Officers of the Executive Committee are: Ricky D. Dixon, president; Tyrone Oliver, president-elect; Bryan Collier, vice-president; Anthony O. Vann, treasurer; and Denise M. Robinson, immediate past-president. ACA’s Executive Director Robert Green serves as secretary, while our Board of Governors representatives consist of Marina Cadreche and Latera Davis. Each officer serves a two-year term and is elected by the association’s membership from recommendations made by the Nominating Committee. Each one of these women and men bring experience, leadership and commitment to their calling of leading the corrections profession into the future. Materials/Distribution — Distribution of flyers, brochures or any other materials in and around all registration, workshop, exhibit and other conference areas is prohibited. Circulators or other promotional material may be distributed only within the exhibitor’s assigned booth. Any prohibited materials found will be removed immediately. Non-Exhibitor/Consultant — A company, firm, consultant or organization not assigned exhibit space must register as such and pay the non-exhibitor registration rate for the full conference and/or the daily registration. If non-exhibiting companies do not register as such, they will jeopardize their future participation in ACA events. There will be an additional monetary penalty as deemed necessary by ACA. Parking — The Colorado Convention Center provides access to onsite covered parking garage with limited spaces. The garage is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Remember to use the automated pay stations. Once you have parked walk up to any pay machine and scan the QR code or use the text prompt to purchase parking. Photography — Still photography and video recording of any exhibit or function is prohibited within the exhibit hall, meeting rooms and lobbies. It is the responsibility of the participant to place the entry ticket into the “Ticket Box” located in the Exhibit Hall Lounge. 7. No purchase necessary. Making a purchase will not increase your chances of winning. The odds of winning depend upon the number of entries received. Void where prohibited by law. 8. Winners are responsible for all taxes, sales taxes and fees due in connection with the prizes. 9.
