Room: National Harbor 11 The completion of the psychological autopsy involves the development of “a reconstructive psychological profile of the decedent based on a retrospective revaluation of risk factors (historical, clinical, acute, environmental) that are derived from interviews and reviews of documentation, personal property, and death scene for the purpose of determining the mode of death.” In this presentation, attendees will learn about the history of the psychological autopsy and the importance of identifying potential contributing factors with the goal of improving mental health care processes and outcomes.
