Leaders and Preventative Wellness Programs [CEU] Room 205B This workshop will take you through the beginning stages of building a Wellness Program and providing your workforce with the tools to build resilience and healthy coping habits. We will review barriers to starting your wellness program and explore ways to obtain leadership buy-in to support readiness amongst your workforce. We will discuss how to meet your staff where they are and developing a holistic approach to wellness within your correctional facility that promotes psychological safety and resiliency. Participants will be provided a template for a building a wellness program, ready for you to tailor to fit the needs of your workforce. Learning Objectives: • Participants will be able to identify strategies for developing wellness driven leadership. • Participants will be able to identify opportunities for engagement and development of effective prevention strategies to help the workforce build health habits. • Participants will be able to walk away from the workshop with a foundation and

provide antibiotic stewardship recommendations and will address inappropriate prescribing based on the latest ADA Clinical Practice Guidelines. Prescribing guidelines as to when and why antibiotics are, or are not indicated, will be examined. The topic of antibiotic prophylaxis will also be addressed based on the latest clinical research and clinical practice guidelines related to prosthetic joints, cardiac conditions, transplants, as well as other medical conditions. Learning Objectives: • Participants will understand the current Clinical Practice Guidelines for Antibiotic prophylaxis. • Participants will understand the risks and benefits of antibiotic use including antibiotic resistance and C. diff infection. • Participants will be able to understand and implement antibiotic exemplary practices in their practice settings.
