With recommendations from the Governor’s Workgroup on Post-Release Control and the National Institute of Corrections, the APA has embarked on several initiatives aiming to improve correctional outcomes and better support staff. The session will provide insight into current supervision strategies, new technology and system enhancements, the use of implementation science, audit reform, case review conferences and enhancing staff competencies. Learning Objectives: • Explain different training approaches used by the APA. • Describe the benefits of the implementation of science. • Understand the benefits of case review conferences.
