educate the field on the sunset of the Governors’ PREA assurance option in 2025, which will have a direct impact on facilities under the control of the executive branch of state governments. It will also educate the field on the role of the PMO with certification, decertification and remediation of certified PREA auditors. Lastly, the PMO wishes to educate the field on important statutory work such as who and how the PREA working group handles PREA DOJ FAQs, the relationship between the National PREA Resource Center and the PMO and the collection of PREA data through our Bureau of Justice Statistics. Learning Objectives: • Understand the sunset of the governor’s assurance option related to the annual PREA Governors Certification. • Understand the role of the PMO regarding the certification decertification and remediation process of auditors facing discipline. • Learn the role of the PMO in drafting DOJ FAQs, the relationship to the National PREA Resource Center and other statutory responsibilities of the PMO. D-1F Removing Barriers to Successful Reentry Track: Reentry Room 203-A Reentry barriers are obstacles that make returning to the community complex and sometimes impossible for previously incarcerated individuals. The Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) continues to collaborate with the agencies, departments, stakeholders and communities to remove the roadblocks individuals face when they return to their communities. As a result, GDC has launched various initiatives to help justice-involved individuals reenter the community successfully. This presentation will provide an overview of the innovative ways GDC collaborates to increase successful reentry. Learning Objectives: • Participants will examine the barriers faced by justice-involved individuals. • Participants will explore GDC’s partnership with the Georgia Department of Driver Services, the Georgia Department of Vital Records and the Social Security Administration. • Participants will explore Reentry Partnership Housing and GDC’s Reentry Assessment Centers.
