Welcome to San Diego!

On behalf of our American Correctional Association leadership, host committee and staff, I’m excited to welcome you to the 2020 Winter Conference in San Diego! There is something quite unique in starting a new decade, and I’m delighted to start it in a city famed for its remarkable beauty and passion. Perhaps this year could be the beginning of a “new type” of Roaring ‘20s, only this time there would be prosperity, growth, excitement and full appreciation for everyone and everything that life has to offer. And what better way to make sure this decade is “roaring” than to kick it off with another amazing ACA conference. As is standard, this conference offers opportunities to attend groundbreaking sessions, workshops and special events only ACA can provide.

I invite you to experience as much as you can here in San Diego. The opening of the Exhibit Hall is always highly anticipated and features hundreds of vendors who showcase state-of-the-art technology and industry-leading products. ACA also strives to further the professional development of security and training professionals with certification and continuing education units. A hallmark of ACA’s conferences is the inspirational speakers that share their expertise and experience that have positively impacted the industry.

Yet, all of this could not be possible without the many dedicated individuals who worked tirelessly to bring all of this together. I would like to thank everyone for their hard work to produce the 2020 Winter Conference in beautiful San Diego.
