Withdrawal Management (Detoxification) - a medically supervised process of withdrawing a person from a specific psychoactive substance(s) in a safe and effective manner. Work release – formal arrangement sanctioned by law whereby an inmate/resident is released into the community to maintain approved and regular employment. Workers’ compensation – statewide system of benefits for employees who are disabled by job-related injury. Work stoppage – a planned or spontaneous discontinuation of work. The stoppage may involve employees or inmates, acting separately or in concert by refusing to participate in institutional activities. Youthful offender – person under the age of criminal majority in the jurisdiction in which he or she is con fined who has been charged and/or sentenced as an adult.
