Information about a juvenile’s mental health status is confidential. The ac tive mental health record is maintained separately from the confinement case record Access to the mental health record is controlled by the mental health authority in accordance with state and federal law Comment : The principle of confidentiality protects juvenile patients from disclo sure of confidences entrusted to a mental health care provider during the course of treatment. The active mental health record shall be available to all qualified health care professionals and health care practitioners.
