Grand Prize Winners
Money Booth provides entertaining cap to conference
F or many years, the conclusion of an ACA Conference’s exhibit hall features the Grand Prize giveaway. In the past, prizes have ranged from vehicles to trips to cash. However, in a twist, this years’ Grand Prize winner’s entered ACA’s Big Money Booth On stage was a clear plexiglass booth about the size and shape of an old-fashioned phone booth. ACA President Denise Robinson and Execu tive Director Robert Green hosted the proceeding as representatives from Acorn and Acorn Vac, Vital Core Health Services and Allied Universal selected three names for each bowl on the stage from the hundreds of completed entries. ACA President Denise Robinson then selected a name from each bowl to come up on stage and enter the Big Money Cash Booth. Since you had to be present to win, President Robinson continued to draw names until three finalists were on the stage.
The three finalists were Jannera Petersen, Jake Petzold and Marie Eady. Director Green explained how it would work. Each finalist would enter the booth and have 30 seconds to grab as much cash as they can. There was $15,000 in the booth. Each final ist would get what they could grab and the rest would be divided up with 50% for the first finalist and 25% for the second and third finalist. The crowd cheered as
each finalist entered the booth and did their best to grab the flying cash. It was an exciting and fun filled end to another Winter Conference. Look for the Big Money Cash Booth to be back in future conferences.
