Historic announcement headlines Military Reception
T he Winter Conference’s traditional States, occurred on the second-floor atrium of the Orange County Convention Center on Saturday, January 11 th . Kenneth J. Tauke, newly elected chair of the Military Corrections Committee, introduced some of honored guests at the reception and turned the proceeding over the ACA Executive Director Robert Green. “I’ve always had a deep love and apprecia tion for the Armed Forces. So let me just say, I’m grateful for all the folks here in the room in uniform or who formerly wore a uniform. We ap preciate your support of our profession.” Green thanked the sponsors of the event, CoreCivic and NCIC Correctional Services, for making the event possible. in the Corps before bringing her to the stage. “I’ve just been so blessed and so honored in my career,” Dymora began. “I have wonderful great Marines that work for me day in and day out to make me a success, their hard work, and dedication, make me look good,” she said. Robinson concluded by saying “It’s just going to elevate the relationship between the military and ACA. I’m really looking forward to having a representative from your branches so we can serve you better.” Director Green returned to the podium and gave a little context on the historic appointment just made. “I had a young officer asked me when
