Women of Distinction Summit Saturday January 11 th saw the Women of Distinc tion Summit convene at the Convention Center. The summit featured a talk with Dr. Lannette Linthicum, former ACA President and head of the largest medical practice in corrections through the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. This was followed by a panel discussion led by Judge Lasheyl Stroud, Lead Juvenile Judge for the Frankin Court of Common Pleas. Panelists included ACA President Denise Robinson, Chief Warrant Officer 5 Karen Dymora of the United States Marine Corps, Kristina Hartman, Superintendent Windham School District Schools in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and E.R. Cass awardee Viola Riggin. Evolving Spaces Symposium Unlocking innovative solutions for revitalizing aging correctional facilities was the focus of the all day Evolving Spaces Symposium held on Monday January 13 th . Keynote Speaker Stephen A. Carter, AICP, the executive Vice-President of CGL Companies head lined a full day of lightning talks, exhibitor demo space and networking around the topic of meeting the challenges of building and using correctional spaces effectively.
