ADVANCE. CONNECT. ACHIEVE.

In the afternoon, while workshops continued apace, Room 331 A-D in the Convention Center hosted the Women of Distinction Summit . The day ended with an ACA tradition, the Military Reception sponsored by CoreCivic and NCIC Correctional Services. A special block of Featured Sessions kicked off Sunday at the Winter Conference. The sessions included a Corrections Legal Update , Treating Opioid Use Disorder, Transporting Inmates and Healthcare for Incarcerated Veterans . Later that day, Olympians Tara Davis-Woodhall and Hunter Woodhall joined ACA President Denise Robinson on stage at the General Session to talk about their journey and how they overcame mighty challenges to win Olympic Gold Medals. As the General Session ended, the Exhibit Hall opened, and the huge room was flooded with attendees who marveled at the variety and quantity of exhibitors. The Evolving Spaces Symposium and the Juvenile Summit highlighted Monday’s activities with the Exhibit Hall staying busy. Jonathan Mermin of the U.S. Public Heath Service key noted the Health Care Luncheon.

The Winter Conference closed with auditor training and the Grand Prize Drawing on Tuesday concluding what was a marvelous meeting.
