T he 152 nd Congress of Correction closed with a The Cass Award is more than just a medallion or a mem bership — it is a symbol of true dedication and professional achievement, of self-sacrifice and tireless energy. And this year’s honorees certainly fit this description. Anadora “Andie” Moss founded the Moss Group in 2002, an innovative criminal justice consulting firm providing con sultation and technical assistance to clients in all 50 states. In addition, Moss served as past President and founding member of the Association of Women Executives in Corrections. Fellow awardee Damon Hininger began his career in cor rections on the front lines, joining CoreCivic as a corrections officer at Leavenworth Detention Center. Hininger proved to be an extraordinary executive as worked his way up the ladder at CoreCivic eventually appointed President and CEO in 2009. ACA was proud to add the names of Andie Moss and Damon Hininger to the roster of correctional greats who have been honored with the E.R. Cass Award. spectacular E.R. Cass Awards banquet in the Napoleon ballroom of the Sheraton New Orleans hotel.
