Grand Prize Winners
M arking the climax of the 151 st Congress of Correction, participants gathered around a brand-new Jeep Renegade about to be given away to one lucky ACA member. Sponsors, Acorn Engineering Co./AcornVac, Inc., Attenti, Falcon, NCIC Inmate Communi- cations, RaySecur, Inc. and VitalCore Health Strategies, Inc. made sure this highlight of the Nashville edition of the Congress of Correction featured a magnificent vehicle for this years’ giveaway. ACA Executive Director James A Gondles, Jr., ACA President Tony Parker and ACA Deputy Riding off in a new Renegade Congress of Correction highlight features participant driving off in Jeep Renegade
Billy Lewis, winner of the new Jeep Renegade.
Executive Director Jeff Washington officiated the proceedings where three names were chosen from entries accumulated during the run of the 151 st Congress from ACA members and participants. After the third name was revealed, it was noted no one from the host state of Tennessee made it to the final three. Each finalist was given a key and the key which started the vehicle would be taking the Jeep Ren- egade home with them. Suspense ended rather quickly as Billy Lewis of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice sat in the driver’s seat first and his key brought the engine to a mighty roar! John Mack of Douglas County, Nebraska and Scott Happ of
Jefferson County, Colorado did not leave the Exhibit Hall of the Music City Center empty handed: they each received $350. Congratulations to all our winners and a special thanks to our sponsors who made this another great giveaway for Congress of Correction attendees. Register now for the 2021 Winter Conference in Phoenix and who knows, maybe you’ll be one of our lucky winners.
