Emerging Trends in Correctional Healthcare [|CE|CME|CERP] Room 103 A Primary Community of Focus: Adult Corrections Overview: Correctional health care staff are inundated with information that is pertinent to providing care for our patients. There are guidelines and practice updates that are updated for the management of patients. However, there are new concepts and new diseases emerging that providers need to be aware of in order to meet the demands for appropriate treatment of patients entering the correctional environment. This workshop will present new trends, guidelines and exemplary expected practices in the treatment of correctional populations. Overview: This presentation is designed to assist correctional facilities establish and enhance their counter-drone programs for more effective interdiction of drone-delivered contraband. In 2026, the federal government is taking a number of steps to assist state departments of corrections to combat drones, including expanded authorities, airspace restrictions and grant funding. This workshop is tailored to corrections officers seeking to initiate a counter-drone program, or to grow the capabilities of an existing one.
