Removing Reentry Barriers to Improve the Continuum and Enhance Public Safety [CE] Room: 103 C Primary Community of Focus: Prisons & Jails Overview: This workshop will focus on how to enhance treatment compliance upon discharge from correctional settings through the use of evidence-based, on-site and telehealth-enabled Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) services. Utilizing scalable and flexible solutions, the model provides immediate access to high-quality care, reduces treatment barriers and supports individuals on their recovery journey. With over 50,000 patients served, this model presents a 72% retention rate at 3 months and only a 10% “no show rate” (vs. 23% industry average). To date, clients polled have given a 95% patient satisfaction score, affirming this low-barrier, ease of transition both retains clients and enhances recovery experience. Learning Objectives: • Explain how telehealth expands access, eases participation and enhances public safety. • Define responsibilities of custody, medical, mental health and reentry staff in supporting MAT telehealth.
• Identify common challenges of reentry and how telehealth can reduce them.
