There are guidelines and practice updates that are updated for the management of patients. However, there are new concepts, and new diseases are emerging that providers need to be abreast in order to meet the demands for appropriate treatment of patients entering the correctional environment. This workshop will present new trends, guidelines and exemplary expected practices in the treatment of correctional populations. This talk explores exemplary practices for developing clear, goal-oriented treatment plans that enhance care continuity and meet legal/ethical standards.
