Occupations in the material handling sector are projected to have over one million annual job openings in the U.S. through 2033. The agency’s warehousing and distribution operations provide incarcerated individuals with job skills training in occupations with readily available employment options. By doing so, the agency ensures necessary items are stocked and available to facilities throughout the state. In this interactive session, Abraham and Ruth Woroniecki draw on 15+ years of international experience with Deep Heart Events — a nonprofit offering dynamic programs. They have worked in over 400 prisons around the world. Participants will learn the effectiveness of implementing music, art and cultural programming tailored for correctional settings. This workshop examines how these creative approaches foster mental activation, emotional healing, interpersonal transformation and resilience among incarcerated individuals,
certifications and direct pathways to employment with these organizations
