While the treatment started targeting primarily suicidal behavior and self-injury, it has clear application for addressing aggression and other impulsive difficulties. This workshop will provide a brief overview of the evidence base and rationale for DBT, explanation of dialectics, and validation, the basis for dysregulation and the structure and modes of treatment. Often times, a medication room audit becomes a redundant, resource-intensive task especially when there are repeat non-compliant findings that have not been fixed in a timely fashion. In this presentation, the presenter will review audit standards based on regulatory, management, and frontline staff’s perspective to improve

direct patient care roles due to their knowledge of medications and therapeutics. Expanding involvement in services beyond dispensing to chronic disease management, vaccination, patient education and medication therapy management allows pharmacists to work at the top of their license and helps to bridge the gap between patients, physicians and other providers. The roles of clinical pharmacists, how to embed pharmacists into practice, its benefits and lessons learned will be discussed.
