A-1E Multidisciplinary Approach to Client Engagement: Knock and Talk the Next Level (CEU) Track: Reentry/Social Work NEW! Room: National Harbor 6 Research has shown the incorporation of multidisciplinary teams in coordinating services and meeting the need of justice-involved individuals provides a greater impact on successful reentry. We focus on the effects of two critical incidents: Hurricane Harvey (2017) and the Texas Winter Storm (2021), on the 10,000-bed Harris County Jail in Houston, Texas. The workshop covers lessons learned, emergency planning, goals during a disaster, ideas to consider and employee preparedness.
