A-1A Project FRESH: An Innovative Reentry Approach for Women Track: Reentry Room 201-A Project FRESH is a unique specialized reentry unit developed at the Maryland Correctional Institution for Women to enhance reentry preparation for women who are nearing their release from incarceration. The unit consists of women who are within twenty-four months of release and at minimum security levels. Based on the “systems theory” of social work that assumes human behavior is the result of a larger system comprised of several elements, including the relationships between these elements, Project FRESH leverages existing reentry services in the community while
