and the public during the ongoing and evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic. The COVID-19 Modified Operational Matrix is a flexible pandemic response plan that standardizes a road map of operations so that staff, inmates and outside stake holders know how each specific institution is operating according to the current risk of COVID-19 infection. Each BOP facility is issued a daily Operations Level of 1, 2, or 3 (aka Green for level 1, Yellow for level 2 and Red for level 3) based on three indicators; the percentage of active cases of COVID-19 at each institution, the combined percentage of staff and inmates who have completed a vaccinations series and the COVID-19 transmission rate of the county where the institution is located (according to CDC data). We developed a dashboard and central data disbursement program which allows the public and institution to see what level of operations the facility is currently operating in. Learning Objectives: • Differentiate the why, how and the process which led to the Operations Matrix.

• Identify the details of the three different Operations levels and how it works inside any variety of correctional institutions within the Bureau of Prisons. • Explain the plan, training, notifications and execution of operational matrix at all 122 institutions, as well as the dashboards to identify daily operational levels for each BOP institution.
