Non-dental correctional staff are the first to interact with patients during dental emergency situations. The ability for non-dental correctional staff to identify potential dental emergencies among correctional patients and refer for immediate care is essential. This workshop will present techniques for effective and time-saving triage of common dental emergency conditions.

E-2G Recruitment, Onboarding and Retention of Healthcare Staff in the “New Normal”: The Story of the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation & Correction (CE, CERP) Room 128A Track: Healthcare Given the challenge of healthcare staffing, we must onboard our workforce in such a way that increases the likelihood they will remain in our systems and thus support the mission of our agencies. Cross-departmental, cross-agency efforts will likely be required in the areas of recruitment, onboarding and retention. The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation & Correction will present this topic as an opportunity to share current strategies and encourage discussion among other agencies of current and/or proposed innovative strategies.
