One Life at a Time Room 253 Track: Reentry/Community Corrections The mission of the Rescued Program is to rescue and rehabilitate dogs from our partners which would otherwise be euthanized while providing a positive impact on the offenders within the Colwell Probation Detention Center. B-1C Transforming U: An Innovative Approach to Improving Workplace Wellness Room 252 Tracks: Juveniles/Staff Training Learn how the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice made employee wellness a priority. This workshop will discuss creating a workplace culture that values employee health and wellness. This includes small changes like implementing lunch and learns on health and wellness topics and walking meetings to larger changes like policies that encourage and support employees through providing wellness hours. This workshop will give participants a variety of activities that can be implemented on an individual or agency wide basis to encourage self-care among people in the field.
