jail system; specifically, patients who present with drug/mental health issues which manifest in the oral cavity. The purpose being to identify the often-overlooked connection between oral disease and mental health. Learning Objectives: • Identify and establish key components of basic oral diseases which correspond with common mental health dysfunctions. • Understand the modalities which bridge the gap between oral health and mental health. • Obtain a more comprehensive approach to the management and treatment of patients who present with corresponding psychological and oral health issues.
