Discover how the Twinning Foundation is changing lives! These videos will give you short views of what has started in several of our correctional systems, with more yet to come this year and beyond. My hope is that many others involved in the correctional field will join us in promoting Twinning Projects in the USA and other countries.

By late 2024 new USA Twinning Projects started in: Washington DC DOC Central Jail with DC United Football Club; Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections (ODRC) at Lebanon CI with Cincinnati FC; and California Department of Corrections and Rehabili tation (CDCR) at Solano Prison in Vacaville with NBA Golden State Warriors coaches. During 2025 new Projects are or have been negoti ated to start in: Virginia Department of Corrections (VADOC), facility to be decided with Richmond Kick ers FC; CDCR Lancaster Facility with Los Angeles FC; Georgia Department of Corrections in Atlanta area with Atlanta United FC; Pennsylvania Department of Corrections at Chester CI with Philadelphia 76ers; and CDCR at the Chino CI for Women with WNBA LA Sparks basketball coaches. Notably, CDCR chose Solano Prison for the first USA involvement of a basketball team. The coaches of the Golden State Warriors heard about the Project’s success at the LA County women’s facility with Angel City FC soccer coaches. As noted above the NBA

76ers coaches are expected to be the next basketball team involved in the Philadelphia area with the Chester CI. Both CDCR and ODRC are considering two pris ons for starting second Projects each with coaches from different in-state teams. Most recently we have received interested inquiries from some juvenile justice leaders in the U.S. and Hilton Freund has already be gun work in the U.K. on engaging juvenile agencies as well. While our efforts in the past three years have been focused in America, we have also helped Twinning CEO Hilton Freund to connect with correctional leaders in some other countries. That relationship with ICPA members has mutually ben efited the aims of ICPA to promote ‘best practices’ worldwide just as the UK Twinning Foundation has a goal of promoting Twinning Projects worldwide. For example, in 2024 Hilton Freund also developed new Twinning Projects with correctional agencies in Australia, Italy, Romania and South Africa.
