COMMUNICATIONS & PUBLICATIONS

There is ample research showing the importance of maintaining relationships between loved ones and incarcerated individuals both for the safety and security of facilities and to assist with reentry. Dr. Lane’s book gives us a tool to help loved ones manage and enhance relationships with incarcerated individuals which even in the best of circumstances present challenges. It’s accessible language, simple but profound

wisdom and thoroughness make it an excellent tool to use to enhance loved one and incarcerated individuals’ relationships and therefor would be of great value for the corrections community. The final entry is this stirring and timely call to action from a loved one on the other side: People will be judgmental. Either be unbothered by it or take time to educate them. I’ve learned that some people are clueless about what takes

place in the criminal justice system. #Staystrongbeautifulunbothered.

Note: As the books are independently published, it is recommended they be purchased from Dr. Latoya Lane’s personal website at https:// breakthroughseason.net or at Amazon. ♦
