If you haven’t already, please visit our social media outlets: Linkedin, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram and YouTube. There you will find the lat est updates on our conference preparations including the earliest announcements of housing, registra tion and special guest speakers. You will also find a wealth of helpful tips in areas like wellness or motivation as well as other special video messages from our executive team. Linking you to the bigger world of corrections is our mission and we certainly hope these outlets will serve you in connecting to the cor rections community. CT
has been amazing. We are heartened to find so many of you enjoy having a copy of Cor rections Today in a physical form to read at your leisure or display in your waiting areas. However, the demands of the production process and the logistics of delivering those physical copies means the printed edition of Correc tions Today is closed far in advance of its appearance. That’s why The American Cor rectional Association has two other electronic publications which are designed to get important information into the hands of its members quickly. Corrections Digest is a three times a week publication which curates the best corrections-related news articles, videos and opinion pieces in one place. Scrolling through an edi tion of Correction Digest you will find the top news of the day followed gen erally by articles focused on Reentry and Rehabilitation from across the country and around the world. There will always be a few pieces on Government Action, where you can find funding opportunities from the federal government, updates on executive or legislative issues and
legislation on the state level that could impact your agency. Finally, Correction Digest gives you updates on the people who make up our profession, new hires, job changes or sadly obituaries. A few articles featured in a recent Corrections Digest include one about a coding program in a women’s facility in California, one on the P.E.A.C.E. reentry program in Massachusetts, one about a father’s program in Canada, a grant opportu nity from the federal government for Second Chance Community Based Reentry and a Milbury, Massachu setts man sworn in as a brand new corrections officer.
