About Chuck Kehoe Charles J. Kehoe, with extensive experience in juvenile and adult corrections, has worked in public, private, community based and institutional settings. He has published on correctional issues, testified in U.S. Federal and State Courts and provided expertise before the U.S. Congress and state legislatures. Mr. Ke hoe has led training across 33 states and Guam and contributed to planning correctional facilities domestically and internation ally. He holds ten awards, including the prestigious E. R. Cass Award, is a past president and auditor for the American Correc tional Association and remains active in multiple professional organizations.

Looking ahead to the 209 th Congress of Correction

By Charles J. Kehoe A ttending the 154 th Congress of Correction this past August reminded me of how much corrections has changed since I attended my first ACA Congress, the 99 th Congress of Correction in 1969, held in Minneapolis, MN. Today, the Congress of Cor rection is an international event

with over thirty countries sending representatives to Nashville, TN. Interpreters were frequently seen in plenary sessions, workshops and business meetings engaging their clients in the discussions. Several countries were there to receive the Certificates of Accredi tation. The United States Armed Forces are also in attendance as military corrections has become an

important partner and member of the ACA family. With nearly 400 exhibitors in the Exhibit Hall attendees learned about the latest advances in tech nologies for corrections, AI, inmate management software, private correctional health care, correc tional pharmacies, environmentally friendly facilities and renewable energies for corrections, employee
