Solicitation of Candidates for the 2022 Election T he ACA Nominating Committee requests that all affiliates, chapters and individual mem - bers submit suggested candidates for officers, members of the Board of Governors and Delegate Assembly, and seats on the Commission on Accreditation for Corrections. It is impossible for the committee to know the interests and abilities of all ACA members; therefore, your help is essential. Positions to be filled are as follows (Each category will have a double slate of candidates, Article II, Sections 1 and 2):

OFFICERS: one President-Elect, one Vice President and one Treasurer BOARD OF GOVERNORS: Pursuant to Article III, Section 4, of the ACA bylaws, at each biennial election, nine or 10 governors shall be elected to serve staggered terms of four years; no governor shall serve more than two consecutive, full terms, plus any partial term to which a governor may have been appointed. The following positions are open:

• Correctional Administration • Institutions • Juvenile

• Probation • Parole, Aftercare or Post-Release Supervision • Community Programs

• Detention • Education • Health Care

Office of Correctional Health

COMMISSION ON ACCREDITATION: Pursuant to Article V, Section 4, of the ACA bylaws, Commissioners shall serve terms of four years each. No commissioner may serve more than two consecutive full four year terms, plus any partial term to which a commissioner may have been appointed. The following positions are open:

• Correctional Administration • Juvenile • Institutions • Probation

• Parole, Aftercare or Post-Release Supervision • Community Programs

• Health Care • Legal • Architecture • Noncorrectional Administration

• Detention • Education

DELEGATE ASSEMBLY: Pursuant to Article IV, Section 1, C, there shall be 35 elected at-large delegates, at least two from each of the following categories, who together shall generally reflect the Association’s composition, to include a broad representation of the membership, including their qualifications, discipline, race, ethnicity, gender, and geographical location. Pursuant to Article IV, Section 3, of the ACA bylaws, the term of office of elected Delegate Assembly members shall be two years (or until the end of the respective term of the predecessor if the person shall have been appointed to succeed a person who shall not have completed the term). There shall be no limit upon the number of consecu - tive terms a person may serve on the Delegate Assembly.
