It will address new changes in the treatment and follow-up care to patients. After the session, participants should be able to classify, manage, recognize and face the challenges in caring for patients in the correctional environment and recognize ethical perils in clinical practice. This session will provide a clinical overview of evolving areas of medicine that affect the scope of health care services provided to incarcerated populations. Participants will gain a better understanding of recent advancements in clinical care that should be considered for integration into the health care delivery system. The 2010 Compensation Data Manufacturing survey concluded that 69.7% of manufacturing companies utilize lean manufacturing principles. Of the companies surveyed, 69.2% apply for 5S programs and 55.7% utilize Kaizen. This workshop will introduce the basic principles of 5S and Kaizen and how these principles can be applied to the daily manufacturing operations within Correctional Industries. Implementing basic principles of lean manufacturing will translate to cost savings and a more efficient knowledge and understanding in manufacturing and gain experience that can be applied to a career post-release. Opioid overdose is a leading cause of post-release fatality, estimated up to 120x community risk. Giving medications for OUD (mOUD) while incarcerated reduces post-release overdose, improves treatment retention and reduces infectious disease spread. Maryland is the first state to require all forms of mOUD in jails. Baltimore City jail work environment, and it will also allow incarcerated individuals to expand their
