Field Ministers are often assigned to specific

areas for ministry. These graduates are being utilized by the institutional Chaplaincy Department and are afforded a variety of ministry opportunities to serve their peers. Their counsel, ministry and discipleship is something incredibly important to the population incarcerated in our system. Bringing comfort and a sense of normality to a correctional environment not only helps the incarcerated but helps our staff. Learning Objectives: • To know what a Field Minister is. • How a Field Minister functions in a correctional setting. • The benefits of having a Field Minister at your institution.
