Corrections have been and continue to be significantly impacted by contraband cell phones and incursions by drowns onto corrections property. This session will present the most current information and efforts being undertaken by the corrections industry to effect changes in the law to better mitigate and eliminate the significant threats to facility safety, staff, and incarcerated populations. C-1B Identifying Victims of Sex Trafficking in Custody Track: Prisons/Jails Room 201-B This workshop will teach participants how to identify victims and predators of Sex Trafficking, and how to conduct effective interviews that are essential in assisting local law enforcement with prosecutions. It will provide jail and prison personnel with basic knowledge to combat sex trafficking behind bars. This workshop will also assist facilities with developing an effective assessment process to identify victims in custody. This workshop will provide real-life stories of victims that have been identified and provide real-life examples of predators continuing their business behind bars.
