PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY
Jennifer Williams has practiced law for 25 years, beginning her career as a trial attorney in Nashville, Tennessee. In 2007, Jennifer moved to an in-house attorney role with a national correctional healthcare company, and progressively advanced to higher levels of leadership in the dynamic correctional healthcare industry. After a brief sojourn into community healthcare as in-house commercial litigation counsel, Jennifer returned to her passion and joined CoreCivic in 2018. Since that time, she has advised correctional professionals on all facets of corrections-related legal issues. In 2024, she was promoted to Deputy General Counsel, Vice President, Litigation, where she continues to serve CoreCivic and the residents in its care. Jennifer oversees the company's litigation program, as well as the company's centralized investigation unit and the legal technology team. Jennifer enjoys supporting healthcare initiatives in cooperation with CoreCivic's Health Services team, and working with the company's Operations teams to iteratively build sustainable improvement in all facets of CoreCivic's operations. Jennifer has served as a Commissioner for ACA since 2022.
