PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY

Joe Page III is a highly respected corrections professional with more than 20 years of experience in correctional operations, leadership, and rehabilitation. He currently serves as Warden for the District of Columbia Department of Corrections, where he is recognized for his transformational leadership, commitment to safety, and focus on preparing incarcerated individuals for successful reentry. Prior to joining DCDOC, Mr. Page served as Superintendent of the Pine Bluff Complex with the Arkansas Department of Corrections, overseeing 470 employees and the care and custody of 1,700 incarcerated individuals. Throughout his career, he has progressed through the ranks from Correctional Officer to Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, Deputy Warden, Superintendent, and Warden. He was named Arkansas Department of Corrections Superintendent of the Year in 2016. Mr. Page serves as President of the North American Association of Wardens & Superintendents and is an active member of the National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice and the American Correctional Association, where he has served on the Board of Governors. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Arkansas and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from Bethel University.
