PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Michael P. Jackson is an accomplished educator and administrator with 27 years of experience, including 22 years in leadership roles across K-12, juvenile correctional education, and higher education. Since 2023, he has served as Deputy Director and Superintendent of the Buckeye United School District within the Ohio Department of Youth Services. Dr. Jackson holds a Ph.D. in Multicultural Equity Studies Education and Administration and advanced degrees from The Ohio State University, as well as a Bachelor of Science from Hampton University. He is an adjunct professor at Franklin University and serves on Capital University’s School of Education Advisory Council. Active in numerous educational and community organizations, Dr. Jackson is dedicated to expanding opportunities for students and believes strongly that “if we can reach them, we can teach them,” regardless of circumstance or environment.
