PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Deborah Schult is a correctional healthcare executive and licensed psychologist with more than 30 years of experience in corrections and behavioral health. She currently serves as Deputy Chief of Behavioral Health for VitalCore and previously held senior leadership roles with the Federal Bureau of Prisons, including overseeing healthcare services for more than 155,000 incarcerated individuals across 122 institutions. A former federal warden and behavioral health leader, Dr. Schult has extensive expertise in correctional mental health, substance use treatment, and services for special populations. She is a Lifetime Member of the American Correctional Association, where she has served in numerous leadership roles, including Chair of the Behavioral Health Committee. A frequent national presenter and mentor, Dr. Schult remains dedicated to advancing correctional healthcare, supporting correctional professionals, and improving outcomes for incarcerated individuals.
