PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY
Randy Sauls joined the Georgia Department of Corrections in 2016 after more than 30 years in healthcare leadership. Prior to joining GDC, he served in executive roles with South Georgia Medical Center, including Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and hospital administrator. A Life Member of the American Correctional Association, Sauls currently serves on the ACA Board of Governors and has held numerous leadership roles, including Chair of the Coalition of Correctional Health Authorities. He is actively involved in correctional health, accreditation, and professional development initiatives at both the state and national levels. Sauls holds degrees from Abraham Baldwin College, the University of Georgia, and Albany State University. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and remains active in community and professional service organizations.
