PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Latoya Lane is currently the Vice President for Non-Residential Centers, within GEO’s Care’s Reentry Division. She is a well-respected criminal justice professional with over 25 years of experience in the field of corrections, with an emphasis on innovative reentry initiatives. Dr. Lane worked for the District of Columbia Department of Corrections (DOC) in Washington, D.C., where she held several positions, including Deputy Director; Warden; and Deputy Warden. Dr. Lane also has experience in the Florida, Illinois, and Indiana correctional systems. She was Director of Reentry for the Florida DOC. She held several positions with the Indiana DOC, including Deputy Chief, Strategic Planner. Dr. Lane began her career as a correctional officer for juveniles in Illinois. Dr. Lane is an active member of the American Correctional Association (ACA) Commission on Accreditation for Corrections and Performance-Based Standards Committee. She previously served as the Vice Chair of the ACA Substance Use Disorders Committee and as a member of the ACA Healthcare Committee, ACA Awards Committee, ACA Constitution and Bylaws, and the ACA Nominating Committee. She is a member of the Association of Women Executives in Corrections, National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives and National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice and serves as a Board member of Making Every Day Count in Palm Beach County. Dr. Latoya Lane earned a Doctor of Philosophy with a specialization in Criminal Justice from Capella University, having previously obtained her Master of Science in Family Services, a Bachelor of Science in Sociology, and a Bachelor of Arts in African American Studies from Eastern Illinois University.
