PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY

Joseph Styles is a criminal justice and reentry professional with more than 20 years of experience working with juvenile and adult offenders in correctional, community based, and rehabilitative settings. He currently serves as Lead Community Development Consultant Specialist II with the Division of Rehabilitation & Reentry Services for the North Carolina Department of Adult Corrections, where he helps advance statewide reentry initiatives and strengthen community partnerships. Styles is committed to evidence-based practices, rehabilitation, and public safety. He serves as President-Elect of the North Carolina Correctional Association and previously served on the board of the National Correctional Industries Association. He was also appointed to Governor Josh Stein’s Gang Prevention and Intervention Task Force. He holds a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and remains dedicated to creating opportunities for successful reintegration and stronger communities.
