Latera M. Davis, LCSW, is a criminal justice executive with more than 27 years of experience in corrections, juvenile justice, victim services, compliance, and training. She currently serves as Assistant Commissioner of Inmate Services for the Georgia Department of Corrections, overseeing statewide education, career technical education, and reentry programs serving more than 50,000 incarcerated individuals. Previously, Davis held several executive leadership roles with the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice, where she led initiatives in professional development, compliance, victim services, and emergency management. She secured more than $2 million in federal grant funding and developed innovative training and leadership programs. A Licensed Clinical Social Worker and dual-certified PREA auditor, Davis is nationally recognized for her expertise in corrections, compliance, victim advocacy, and rehabilitation. She is a frequent presenter and remains dedicated to advancing correctional education, reentry success, and public safety.
