PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY
Edward Banks offers more than three decades of expertise to the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (ODRC), starting his career in 1994 as a correction officer. Prior to his appointment as Interim Director, Mr. Banks served in numerous leadership capacities including Security Supervisor, Correctional Major, Deputy Warden, Warden at two adult facilities, Regional Director in the Office of Prisons, and Deputy Director of Human Resources. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Correctional Administration and Management. Ed is Co-Chair of the ACA policy and resolution committee, contributing for over eight years, and has previously participated on the Delegate Assembly. His professional affiliations include serving as President of the Ohio Wardens and Superintendents Association, a member of both the National Association of Blacks and the North American Association of Wardens and Superintendents. Beyond his ODRC responsibilities, Mr. Banks is Vice President of the Harrison Hills City School District Board of Education, Trustee for Kentucky Christian University, elder at the First Church of Christ, and in Criminal Justice and Flushing Masonic Lodge #298.
