PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY

Angela Geisinger serves as Vice President of Programs for The GEO Group, where she provides executive leadership and strategic oversight of correctional education, academic services, career and technical education (CTE), behavioral health, and reentry programming. In this role, she oversees programming that impacts more than 30,000 individuals involved in the criminal justice system, ensuring the delivery of evidence-based, outcome-driven services that promote educational attainment, workforce readiness, and successful reintegration. With more than 20 years of experience in corrections and correctional programming, Ms. Geisinger has dedicated her career to advancing both outcomes for justice-involved individuals and the professional standards of the correctional education workforce. She developed the GEO Learning Model, a research-based and technology-driven framework grounded in adult learning theory, designed to enhance academic achievement, vocational skills, and engagement across correctional settings, while equipping professionals with scalable, effective tools to improve instruction and outcomes. Angela is committed to strengthening reentry outcomes through strategic partnerships with community organizations, employers, and educational institutions. She champions trauma-informed, person-centered approaches that support long-term success. She brings a results-driven, innovative, and collaborative leadership approach to the ACA Delegate Assembly and remains committed to advancing correctional education as a profession developing evidence-based models that elevate standards of practice, support workforce development, and strengthen the field nationwide. Angela holds a Master of Education from Troy University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Valdosta State University. She has received national recognition, including Second Chance Global Ambassador and Corrections Ally of the Year.
