PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY

Mr. Anderson has been with the Florida Department of Corrections since 1991, building a distinguished career across Institutions and Community Corrections. His roles have included Classification Officer, Field Probation Officer, Case Analyst/Auditor, Field Leasing Agent, Deputy Circuit Administrator for the 13th Judicial Circuit, Deputy Regional Director, and currently, Regional Director. In his present position, Mr. Anderson oversees 1,100 employees, supervising nearly 60,000 offenders across 7 judicial circuits and 18 counties. He is also responsible for developing and implementing Community Corrections field operations policies and procedures. Mr. Anderson is a member of the American Probation and Parole Association (APPA) and serves on the Delegate Assembly for the American Correctional Association (ACA). He sits on the Board of Directors for the Florida Corrections Foundation and is currently serving his second term as President of the Florida Association of Community Corrections (FACC), after four years as vice president. His achievements include FDLE General and Defensive Tactics Instructor, subject matter expert for the Correctional Probation Officer Certification Exam, leadership in gang task forces and security details, and significant contributions to programs such as the Basic Recruit Academy for Correctional Probation Officers. Mr. Anderson has received numerous honors, including the Florida Tax Watch Prudential Productivity Award, Heroes in Public Safety Lifetime Achievement Award, and the FCCD Chapter VII Distinguished Service Award. Throughout his tenure, Mr. Anderson has consistently demonstrated outstanding leadership, with a steadfast commitment evident both in his daily responsibilities and in the significant impact he has made within the field of Community Corrections.
