PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY

Audrey V. Stokes is a dedicated public safety and juvenile justice professional with more than 28 years of leadership experience in corrections, secure detention operations, and law enforcement administration throughout the State of Georgia. She currently serves as Assistant Deputy Commissioner for the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice, Division of Secure Detention, where she oversees the operations and ACA certification processes for 19 secure detention facilities statewide. Throughout her distinguished career, Audrey has demonstrated a strong commitment to public service, organizational leadership, staff development, and policy advancement. Her experience includes serving as Regional Administrator, Facility Director, Assistant Director, Jail Administrator, School Resource Officer, and Watch Commander, where she successfully managed large teams, multimillion-dollar operations, recruitment and retention initiatives, crisis response systems, and facility safety programs. Audrey is recognized as a visionary and results-driven leader who has spearheaded initiatives focused on improving safety, strengthening accountability, enhancing staff training, and implementing operational reforms within secure detention environments. She has extensive experience in strategic planning, budget management, employee relations, policy development, and compliance with American Correctional Association (ACA) standards. She holds a Master of Science and Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership Management from Brenau University and an Associate of Science in Criminal Justice from Georgia Military College. Audrey remains actively involved in numerous professional and civic organizations, including the American Correctional Association, American Jail Association, Georgia Juvenile Justice Association, Georgia Jail Association, Georgia Sheriff’s Association, and Patriots Club. Her leadership roles within these organizations reflect her continued dedication to advocacy, mentorship, and advancing professional standards within the justice and public safety community. As a candidate for Delegate Assembly Seat nomination, Audrey V.
