PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY

Mrs. Collie has worked in corrections for 13 years, starting as a college intern in 2012 at the United States Disciplinary Barracks in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas while also serving as the Kansas Correctional Association, Student Chapter Co-Chair at Washburn University. Following graduation, Mrs. Collie then went on to obtain additional correctional experience at both state and county levels. In 2020, Mrs. Collie returned to Fort Leavenworth as a licensed provider within the Assessment Division of the Directorate of Treatment Programs at the Military Correctional Complex, which includes two facilities the maximum security United States Disciplinary Barracks and medium- security Midwest Joint Regional Correctional Facility. Within the Division, she conducts interviews with those who are newly confined to assess their level of risk to the facility and the community. Additionally, she acts as a point person for the American Correctional Association (ACA) expected practices for the division. Recognized as a subject matter expert, Mrs. Collie has served on the Technical Assistance Visit team to other facilities within the Army Corrections System. In 2022, Mrs. Collie developed a full system correctional wellness program for the workforce. Mrs. Collie currently holds the additional appointed of Wellness Program Coordinator for the Military Correctional Complex and is responsible for the provision of the Army Corrections Brigade Wellness Program. Mrs. Collie has been a member of the American Correctional Association (ACA) since 2013, currently serves as a member of the Staff Wellness Committee, and has attended 15 ACA conferences as a participant, presenter and volunteer.
